Defense Minister Rajnath Singh gave F-INSAS system to Indian Army

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh handed over new anti-personnel mine ‘Nipun’ and F-INSAS system to the Indian Army amid increasing challenges along the border. ‘Nipun’ is manufactured indigenously by Indian firms. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday handed over several indigenous weapons to further strengthen the army.
 During the program, the F-INSAS jawan of the Army briefed Rajnath Singh about his new weapon systems and assistance including the AK-203 assault rifle. There is a plan to jointly manufacture AK-203 assault rifles between India and Russia in Amethi.
Ballistic helmets, ballistic goggles, and bulletproof jackets have been made to keep the infantrymen standing for long periods of time during the war. A bulletproof jacket and helmets are helpful in protecting against lethal weapons. Along with this, the soldiers will have a special type of helmet that will be illuminated. The aim of the F-INSAS is to modernize the infantry.
 This will increase the operational capability of the soldiers, that is, the soldiers will be able to attack the enemies faster and faster. The F-INSAS is being built under a joint mission of India and Russia in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. Apart from F-INSAS, Rajnath Singh has also handed over many modern weapons to the Indian Army.
