Punjab Assembly Election 2022: People voted in the name of Navjot Sidhu after MP Bhagwant Mann in the Aam Aadmi Party poll. Bhagwant Mann’s mother Harpal Kaur and her sister were also present when the name was announced as a candidate for the post of CM.
Punjab Assembly Election 2022: Aam Aadmi Party has declared 48-year-old MP Bhagwant Mann as the CM face in the Punjab Assembly Election 2022. Announcing this in Mohali, Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that 22 lakh people have voted in favour of Mann.
In the Aam Aadmi Party poll, people voted in the name of Navjot Sidhu after MP Bhagwant Mann. Bhagwant Mann’s mother Harpal Kaur and her sister were also present when the name was announced as a candidate for the post of CM. Even before the announcement of Kejriwal on Tuesday morning, posters of Bhagwant Mann were put up all over the city. After the announcement of the name of the post of CM, Kejriwal hugged Bhagwant Mann on the stage.

Bhagwant Mann was born in the year 1973 in Sangrur district, Punjab. He is a comedian, actor by profession. Whereas in 2011 he entered politics through the Anna movement. Has won the Lok Sabha elections from Sangrur twice.
In the Punjab Assembly elections, on the day of Lohri on the CM face, the Aam Aadmi Party had issued a number asking people for their opinion for the CM candidate. While launching the number in Mohali, Arvind Kejriwal had said that this is happening for the first time in the history of India when the public will decide the face of the CM. At that time Arvind Kejriwal had said that if a leader is from outside, then Bhagwant Mann will bring him forward.
