Apna Kangra App: Recently, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched ‘Apna Kangra’ app and handicrafts by Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh.

The major objective of this app is to provide hassle free experience to the tourists and to promote the sale of local handicrafts. While on one hand this app will provide a unique experience for the tourists, on the other hand it will act as an e-marketing platform for the SHG products of the district.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated Radhakrishna Gau Sanctuary in Luthan in Jwalamukhi assembly constituency of Kangra district from Dharamsala through virtual medium. He said that the State Government has also decided to levy a cess of Re 1 on liquor bottles and this amount is being used for effective management and operation of Gau Sanctuaries and Gau Sadans.

Jai Ram Thakur said that he recently dedicated a Gau Sanctuary with a capacity to house 500 cows at Sunni in Shimla district. The Gau Sanctuary in Luthan will have a capacity to house 1000 cows. He said that the State Government is providing Rs.500 per cow per month to the Gau Sadans so that proper arrangements for fodder can be made for them.
