DRDO: Defense Research and Development Organization successfully flight tested the final deliverable configuration of Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) on 11 January 2022.
DRDO: Recently, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully test-fired a Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) on January 11, 2022. The Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile is an indigenously developed MPATGM low weight missile.
According to the Defense Ministry, the anti-tank missile has been flight-tested in the final ‘deliverable configuration’. The Defense Ministry said that the missile destroyed the target. The final impact event was captured on camera and the test successfully verified the minimum firepower.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has congratulated DRDO for the continuous demonstration of the anti-tank missile and said that it is an important step towards self-reliant India in the development of advanced technology-based defence systems. DRDO Chairman G Satheesh Reddy also congratulated all those involved in the anti-tank missile project for the excellent performance of the missile.
Man-Portable Anti Tank Guided Missile:-
Indigenously developed MPATGM is a low weight missile. This missile can hit any area accurately. The range of this missile is 2.5 km. It is capable of hitting the approaching tanks. It is a portable missile that can be carried from one place to another. This missile is for the Indian Army’s Infantry and Parachute Special Forces.
