NH-925 will be India’s first national highway, which will be used for emergency landing of Air Force aircraft. Under the Bharatmala project, the country’s first emergency airstrip has been prepared on the border of Barmer-Jalore.
Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the ‘Emergency Landing Field (ELF)’ on National Highway-925 in the Gandhav-Bakhasar section of Barmer, Rajasthan on 09 September 2021. Fighters like Sukhoi and Jaguar of the Indian Air Force took off only 40 km from the Pakistan border.
Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had arrived here by a special aircraft of the Indian Air Force, whose landing was done on this airstrip. NH-925 is India’s first National Highway, which will be used for emergency landing of Air Force aircraft. Under the Bharatmala project, the country’s first emergency airstrip has been prepared on the border of Barmer-Jalore.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has constructed this emergency strip on a three-kilometre stretch of the Satta-Gandhav section of NH-925A for the Indian Air Force for an emergency landing. The construction work of ELF was started in July 2019 and completed in January 2021. It is manufactured by ‘GHV India Private Limited’ under the supervision of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and NHAI.
Under this project, three helipads have been constructed as per the requirements of the Indian Air Force/Indian Army in Kundanpura, Singhania and Bakhasar villages besides an emergency landing strip, which will strengthen the Indian Army and security network along the Western International Border.
केंद्रीय रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह और परिवहन मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने राजस्थान के बाड़मेर के गंधव-बाखासर खंड में नेशनल हाईवे-925 पर बने ‘इमरजेंसी लैंडिंग फील्ड (ELF)’ का 09 सितंबर 2021 को उद्घाटन किया है| पाकिस्तान सीमा से केवल 40 किलोमीटर दूरी पर भारतीय वायुसेना के सुखोई और जगुआर जैसे लड़ाकू विमानों ने उड़ान भरी|
केंद्रीय परिवहन मंत्री नितिन गडकरी और रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह भारतीय वायुसेना के स्पेशल विमान से यहां पहुंचे थे, जिसकी लैंडिंग इसी एयर स्ट्रिप पर की गई थी| एनएच-925 भारत का पहला राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग है, जिसका इस्तेमाल वायुसेना के विमानों को आपात स्थिति में उतारने के लिए किया जाएगा| भारतमाला प्रोजेक्ट के तहत बाड़मेर-जालोर की सीमा पर देश की पहली इमरजेंसी एयर स्ट्रिप तैयार की गई है|
भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (NHAI) ने भारतीय वायु सेना के लिए आपातकालीन स्थिति में विमान उतारने के लिए एनएच-925ए के सट्टा-गंधव खंड के तीन किलोमीटर के हिस्से पर इस आपातकालीन पट्टी का निर्माण किया है| ईएलएफ (ELF) का निर्माण कार्य जुलाई 2019 में शुरू किया गया था और जनवरी 2021 में पूर्ण हुआ| भारतीय वायुसेना (आईएएफ) और एनएचएआई की देखरेख में ‘जीएचवी इंडिया प्राइवेट लिमिटेड’ ने इसका निर्माण किया है|
इस परियोजना के तहत आपातकालीन लैंडिंग पट्टी के अलावा कुंदनपुरा, सिंघानिया और बाखासर गांवों में भारतीय वायु सेना/भारतीय सेना की आवश्यकताओं के अनुसार तीन हेलीपैड का निर्माण किया गया है, जो पश्चिमी अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमा पर भारतीय सेना और सुरक्षा नेटवर्क के मजबूत करेगा|
