PV Sindhu has become the first Indian woman athlete to win two medals in an individual event at the Olympics. Among men, wrestler Sushil Kumar (Bronze – Beijing 2008, Silver – London 2012) had done this feat.
Rio Olympics silver medalist PV Sindhu has won another medal. India’s legendary badminton player PV Sindhu has won the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics on August 01, 2021, with a 21-13 and 21-15 victory over China’s shuttler Bingjiao.
PV Sindhu won this match in just 52 minutes. PV Sindhu won the bronze medal while Chen Yufei of China won the gold medal. She won the gold medal by defeating Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei 21-18, 19-21, 21-18 in the final.
