PM Narendra Modi Aims to Make India ‘Energy Free’ by 2047
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of becoming an ‘energy free country’ by the year 2047 to celebrate the 100th year of India’s independence. The Modi government has decided to set up a National Hydrogen Mission to make India a new global hub and exporter of green hydrogen.
The Prime Minister said, “Self-reliance in the field of energy is necessary for the progress of the country and for a self-reliant India… To be independent in the matter of energy, India will have to take a pledge that before the completion of 100 years of independence, the country should have energy. Will make it self-reliant in the matter.
To achieve this goal, PM has started a ‘Mission Circular Economy’ which will emphasize replacing petroleum with other forms of energy to make India self-reliant in energy production by 2047. Mission circular economy includes electric mobility, gas-based economy, doping ethanol in petrol and making the country a hub for hydrogen production etc.
(प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भारत स्वतंत्रता के 100 वें वर्ष का जश्न मनाने के लिए वर्ष 2047 तक ‘ऊर्जा स्वतंत्र देश बनने का लक्ष्य रखा है| मोदी सरकार ने भारत को एक नया वैश्विक हब और हरित हाइड्रोजन का निर्यातक बनाने के लिए राष्ट्रीय हाइड्रोजन मिशन स्थापित करने का निर्णय लिया है|)
(प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा, ”देश की प्रगति और आत्मनिर्भर भारत के लिये ऊर्जा के क्षेत्र में आत्मनिर्भरता जरूरी है… ऊर्जा के मामले में स्वतंत्र होने के लिये भारत को ये संकल्प लेना होगा कि आजादी के 100 साल पूरे होने से पहले देश को ऊर्जा के मामले में आत्मनिर्भर बनाएंगे।”)
(इस लक्ष्य को हासिल करने के लिए पीएम ने एक ‘मिशन सर्कुलर इकोनॉमी’ की शुरुआत की है जो 2047 तक भारत को ऊर्जा उत्पादन में आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए पेट्रोलियम को ऊर्जा के अन्य रूपों से बदलने पर बल देगी| मिशन सर्कुलर इकोनॉमी में इलेक्ट्रिक मोबिलिटी, गैस-आधारित अर्थव्यवस्था, पेट्रोल में डोपिंग इथेनॉल और देश को हाइड्रोजन उत्पादन का केंद्र बनाना आदि शामिल है|)
