World First Atomic Bomb Attack: Every year 6 August is considered to mark the anniversary of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima during World War II. This horrific incident took place on August 6, 1945, when the United States dropped an atomic bomb called “Little Boy” on the city of Hiroshima, Japan.

History of Hiroshima Day: World War II, which lasted from 1939–1945, was the world’s first atomic bomb, carrying more than 9000 pounds of uranium-235 and was fired by a US B-29 bomber aircraft, Enola Gay. It was dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima on 6 August 1945.
The attack was so massive that it killed almost 90% of the city’s population. In which 70,000 people died immediately and later about 10,000 people died due to the effects of radiation.
