Odisha’s capital Bhubaneswar has become the first city in India to achieve 100% vaccination coverage against Corona. In the capital of Odisha, one lakh migrant workers have also been given the first dose of the corona vaccine.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation had set a target to vaccinate all the residents of the city by 31 July. Meanwhile, Bhubaneshwar Municipal Corporation’s South-East Regional Deputy Commissioner Anshuman Rath said that a total of 9,07,000 people above the age of 18 years have been given the second vaccine. This includes 5,17,000 people in the age group of 18-45 years and 3,20,000 people above the age of 45 years.
