Eid al-Adha is the latter of the two official holidays celebrated within Islam. It honours the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God’s command. Before Abraham could sacrifice his son, however, God provided a lamb to sacrifice instead.
One of the important festivals of the Muslim community is Bakrid. According to the Islamic calendar, in the year 2021, this festival is being celebrated on July 21. This festival is also known as Id-ul-Azha and Eid-ul-Zuha.
Eid al-Adh comes two months after Eid. There are three types of Eid which include Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-al-Adha and Eid-e-Milad. All three give the message of brotherhood and humanity.
There is a tradition in the Muslim community to sacrifice on this day, which is why it is also called Eid-e-Kurba. Salty dishes are made at this festival, which is why it is also known as Namkeen Eid in many places. This festival is celebrated about 70 days after the end of Ramadan month, goat is sacrificed.
On this special occasion, people can send messages, poetry, quotes and photos to congratulate Eid-al-Adha.

मुस्लिम समुदाय के महत्वपूर्ण पर्वों में एक बकरीद भी है| जो इस्लामिक कैलेंडर के मुताबिक साल 2021 में ये त्योहार 21 जुलाई को मनाया जा रहा है| इस पर्व को इद-उल-अजहा और ईद उल जुहा के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।
ईद के दो महीने बाद Eid al-Adh आता है। ईद तीन प्रकार की होती हैं जिसमें ईद-उल-फितर, ईद-अल-अजहा और ईद-ए-मिलाद शामिल हैं| ये तीनों ही भाईचारे और इंसानियत का संदेश देती हैं|
मुस्लिम समुदाय में इस दिन कुर्बानी देने की परंपरा है, यही वजह है कि इसे ईद-ए-कुर्बा भी कहते हैं। इस त्योहार पर नमकीन पकवान बनाए जाते हैं, यही वजह है कि कई जगह इसे नमकीन ईद के नाम से भी जाना जाता है| रमजान महीना खत्म होने के करीब 70 दिन बाद मनाए जाने वाले इस पर्व में बकरे की कुर्बानी दी जाती है|
