Recently, Bangladesh cricketer Mahmudullah Riyadh has announced his retirement from Test cricket in the middle of Bangladesh’s only Test match against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club. Mahmudullah made his Test debut in 2009 during Bangladesh’s tour of the West Indies.
This was the 50th match of Mahmudullah’s Test career. In the first innings to bat at number 8, this player played unbeaten innings of 150 runs facing 278 balls. Which is also the best score of his Test career. Mahmudullah with Liton Das added 138 runs for the 7th wicket. At the same time, in the partnership of the 9th wicket, he shared a total of 191 important runs with Taskin Ahmed.
Mahmudullah has scored 2764 runs in 93 innings of 49 Test matches played so far at an average of 31.41. In which 16 fifties and 4 centuries are included. In the same bowling, Mahmudullah has taken 43 wickets at an average of 45.33. His best bowling is 8/110.
