Recently, the Government of India along with the Government of Mizoram has signed a $32 million loan agreement with the World Bank for the Mizoram Health Systems Strengthening Project. The project aims to improve the manageability and quality of health services in Mizoram, with a focus on under-served areas and benefiting weaker sections.

Main benefits of the project:
The project will strengthen the governance and management framework of the Department of Health and Family Welfare (DoHFW) and its subsidiaries, improve the quality and coverage of services provided by state government health systems, and a comprehensive quality assurance program. which will enable quality certification of health facilities.
The Mizoram Health System Strengthening Project will benefit the people of all the eight districts of the state. It will benefit the health sector employees, especially at secondary and primary levels, by building their clinical skills and competencies as well as strengthening their planning and management abilities.
परियोजना के मुख्य लाभ:
इस परियोजना के अनुसार स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण विभाग (DoHFW) और इसकी सहायक कंपनियों के शासन और प्रबंधन ढांचे को मजबूत करेगी, राज्य सरकार की स्वास्थ्य प्रणालियों द्वारा प्रदान की जाने वाली सेवाओं की गुणवत्ता और कवरेज में सुधार करेगी, और एक व्यापक गुणवत्ता आश्वासन कार्यक्रम में निवेश करेगी, जो स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं के गुणवत्ता प्रमाणन को सक्षम होगा।
मिजोरम स्वास्थ्य प्रणाली सुदृढ़ीकरण परियोजना से राज्य के सभी आठ जिलों के लोगों को लाभ होगा. यह स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र के कर्मचारियों को, विशेष रूप से माध्यमिक और प्राथमिक स्तरों पर, उनके नैदानिक कौशल और दक्षताओं के निर्माण के साथ-साथ उनकी योजना और प्रबंधन क्षमता को मजबूत करके लाभान्वित करेगा।
