India’s biggest floating solar power plant with a capacity of 100 MW will be set up at Ramagundam in Telangana.
India’s largest floating 100 MW solar power plant will be installed in Telangana by May 2021. The project is expected to increase the share of renewable energy in overall energy production in Telangana.
National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) is constructing India’s largest floating solar plant, with a power generation capacity of 100 MW, in the reservoir of its thermal power plant at Ramagundam, Peddapalli district, Telangana.
The estimated cost of this project is about Rs. 423 crores and the project aims to achieve India’s installed renewable energy capacity target of 175 GW by the year 2022 which includes a solar installed capacity of 100 GW. This solar project will be spread over 450 acres with 4.5 lakh photovoltaic panels.

(नेशनल थर्मल पावर कॉरपोरेशन लिमिटेड (NTPC) रामागुंडम, पेडडापल्ली जिले, तेलंगाना में अपने थर्मल पावर प्लांट के जलाशय में 100 मेगावाट की बिजली उत्पादन क्षमता सहित, भारत के सबसे बड़े फ्लोटिंग सोलर प्लांट का निर्माण किया जा रहा है|)
(इस परियोजना की अनुमानित लागत लगभग 423 करोड़ रूपये है और इस परियोजना के तहत वर्ष, 2022 तक भारत की 175 GW की स्थापित अक्षय ऊर्जा क्षमता के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करना है जिसमें 100 GW की सौर स्थापित क्षमता शामिल है| यह सौर परियोजना 4.5 लाख फोटोवोल्टिक पैनलों के साथ 450 एकड़ में फैली होगी|)
