The decision to hold a joint exercise ‘Pabbi-Anti-Terror 2021’ was announced during the 36th meeting of the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structures Council (RATS) held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
This manoeuvre has been named ‘Pabbi-Anti Terror 2021’. This meeting, held on 18 March in the delegates of SCO member countries, approved the draft of a program to collectively run a program to fight terrorism, separatism and insurgency from 2022 to 2024.
“Decisions were taken to improve cooperation between competent authorities of SCO member states to identify and suppress channels that finance terrorist activities. Representatives of competent officials of India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and RATS Executive Committee attended the meeting.
According to a report by China’s state-run news agency Xinhua, RTS has said in its statement that “under this campaign, it has been decided to identify cooperation and to close cooperation between SCO countries for the purpose of identifying and closing them”.
