Moody’s estimates Indias GDP to fall by 3.1% in FY 2021

Moody’s Investors Service has released its new update of Global Macro Outlook (2020-21) for June. The rating agency forecast the Indian economy to decline by 3.1% in FY 2020, citing coronovirus-related problems in its ratings. It has also released an estimate of the Indian economy growing at 6.9% in FY 2021.

Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur launches Exclusive Investment Forum

Food processing version of “Exclusive Investment Forum” is launched by Union Food Processing Industries Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal. It has been designed by Invest India, a national investment promotion and facilitation agency of the Government of India. Apart from this, the Invest Facility Cell of Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has also been set up to handle both domestic and foreign investors for doing business in India.




Rajasthan government launched Indira Rasoi Yojana for the poor

The Rajasthan government soon plans to launch the Indira Rasoi Yojana for the poor. The plan will aim to ensure that “nobody sleeps hungry” in the state. Under this scheme, pure and nutritious food will be provided to the needy twice a day at concessional rates. The state government will spend 100 crore every year on this scheme.

Rahul Dravid became India’s Great Test batsman by defeating Sachin Tendulkar in Wisden India Poll

According to a survey conducted by Wisden India, Rahul Dravid is considered to be the greatest Indian Test batsman of all time, so far Sachin Tendulkar was at the top of this list. Dravid won the title by defeating Sachin Tendulkar in the last round voting of this poll. A total of 11,400 fans participated in the final round of voting, with Dravid getting 52 per cent of the vote.
