A rare 170 carat pink diamond recently discovered in Angola

>Recently, a rare pure pink diamond of 170 carats has been discovered in a mine in the African country of Angola. It is the largest pink diamond ever found in the last 300 years. This information has been given by an Australian mining company. The Lukapa Diamond Company and its partners have discovered a rare stone at the Lulo mine in Angola. It has been named Lulo Rose i.e. Rose of Lulo. The Lucapa Diamond Company said in a statement to investors that it is one of the largest pink diamonds ever found in history.

  • This stunning pink diamond recovered from Lulo represents Angola as a significant player on the world stage.
  • So far, 27 diamonds weighing 100 carats or more have been found from the Lulo mine. The rare Pink Diamond is the fifth largest diamond found in this mine.
  • Earlier in the year 2017, a 59.6-carat pink diamond was auctioned in Hong Kong, which was sold for Rs 569 crore. There is a large number of diamonds in the river bed located in this mine, where 400 employees of the company are engaged in finding diamonds.
