History of World Water Day:
The resolution was introduced in the United Nations Assembly on 22 December 1992, declaring that 22 March would be celebrated as World Water Day. After this, since 1993, 22 March has been celebrated worldwide as World Water Day. On this day, the government organizes many programs to spread awareness about the water crisis.

The theme of World Water Day 2022:
A theme is announced every year on the occasion of World Water Day. The theme of the year 2022- ‘Groundwater: Making the Invisible Visible’ which is proposed by IGRAC i.e. International Groundwater Resource Assessment Centre.
Significance of Water Day:
There are very few people in the world who are getting water 24 hours a day, whereas there is a large part of the world who is not getting clean water or even water and the importance of celebrating this day is only that we all save that resource.
