Melbourne Stars scored 273 for 2 in 20 overs thanks to Maxwell’s scintillating innings. Maxwell hit 22 fours and four sixes to make 154 runs. With this innings, he also holds the record for the highest score by a batsman in the history of the Big Bash League. The score of 273 is the highest team total in BBL history.

Maxwell has scored 468 runs in 13 matches of the current BBL season, which includes 2 centuries.
