The vaccine campaign in India was started on 16 January 2021 and till now around 95 crore people above the age of 18 years have been vaccinated. In India, at present, the Covishield, Covaccine and Sputnik-V vaccines are being administered only to people above the age of 18 years.
Covid-19 vaccine: Recently it has been heard in the media report that the corona vaccine can now be administered to children between 2 years and 18 years. The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved Bharat Biotech’s Covaccine for emergency use.
Covaccine is the first vaccine approved for children in India. Covaccine is jointly developed by Bharat Biotech and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Which was found to be 78 per cent effective in the trial. Guidelines related to the vaccination of children will be issued soon by the Government of India.
After getting approval from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), the vaccine campaign will start for children in the age group of 2 years to 18 years. Under which children will be given two doses of Covaxin for Children.
America is the first country where people under the age of 18 were given an anti-coronavirus vaccine. Some experts believe that if there is a third wave of coronavirus infection in India, then children will be the most affected by it. In such a situation, the need for the corona vaccine was being felt for children.
ZyCoV-D Corona Vaccine: Earlier in India DCGI approved Zydus Cadila’s corona vaccine ZyCoV-D for emergency use. Which will be installed for children of 12 years, adolescents and elders. This was the world’s first DNA-based vaccine made in India.
Covid-19 vaccine: हाल ही मे मीडिया रिपोर्ट मे सुनने मे आया है कि कोरोना वैक्सीन अब 2 साल से 18 साल के बच्चों को भी लग सकेगी| ड्रग्स कंट्रोलर जनरल ऑफ इंडिया (DCGI) ने भारत बायोटेक की कोवैक्सीन को इमरजेंसी इस्तेमाल की मंजूरी दे दी है|
कोवैक्सीन, भारत में बच्चों के लिए मंजूरी पाने वाली यह पहली वैक्सीन है| कोवैक्सीन को भारत बायोटेक और भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान अनुसंधान परिषद (आईसीएमआर) ने साथ में तैयार किया है| जो ट्रायल में 78 प्रतिशत असरदार पाई गई | भारत सरकार द्वारा जल्द ही बच्चों के टीकाकरण से संबंधित गाइडलाइन जारी की जाएगी|
ड्रग्स कंट्रोलर जनरल ऑफ इंडिया (DCGI) से मंजूरी मिलने के बाद 2 साल से 18 साल के बच्चों के लिए वैक्सीन अभियान की शुरुआत होगी| जिसके तहत बच्चों को कोवैक्सीन (Covaxin for Children) की दो डोज लगाई जाएगी|
अमेरिका पहला ऐसा देश है, जहां 18 साल से कम उम्र के लोगों को कोरोना रोधी वैक्सीन लगाई गयी | कुछ विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि भारत में यदि कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण की तीसरी लहर आती है, तो उसमें सबसे अधिक प्रभावित बच्चे होंगे. ऐसे में बच्चों के लिए कोरोना वैक्सीन की जरूरत महसूस की जा रही थी|
ZyCoV-D कोरोना वैक्सीन: भारत में इससे पहले DCGI ने जायडस कैडिला की कोरोना वैक्सीन ZyCoV-D को आपातकालीन उपयोग के लिए मंजूरी दी थी| जो 12 साल के बच्चों, किशोरों और बड़ों को लगाई जायेगी| भारत में बनी यह विश्व की पहली डीएनए बेस्ड वैक्सीन थी|
