Ford: Recently, American automaker Ford Motor has decided to stop manufacturing cars in India. According to a Reuters report, due to the continuing losses, Ford will no longer manufacture cars in India and will also close both its plants. Following this decision by Ford, the India launch of the EcoSport facelift has also been cancelled.
EcoSport is the most popular SUV in India. It was launched in the year 2013. The EcoSport is the biggest USV for Ford for the Indian market. Apart from this, it is the first made in India SUV that has been sold in many European markets. The company has invested around $2.5 billion in its Chennai (Tamil Nadu) and Sanand (Gujarat) plants. Ford India has an installed manufacturing capacity of 6,10,000 engines and 4,40,000 vehicles annually. It exported its models like Figo, Aspire, and EcoSport to more than 70 markets across the world.

EcoSport भारत में सबसे पोपुलर एसयूवी है| इसे साल 2013 में लॉन्च किया गया था| भारतीय बाजार के लिए EcoSport फोर्ड के लिए सबसे बड़ी यूएसवी है| इसके अलावा यह पहले मेड इन इंडिया एसयूवी है जिसे कई सारे यूरोपियन मार्केट में बेचा गया है| कंपनी ने अपने चेन्नई (तमिलनाडु) और साणंद (गुजरात) संयंत्रों में लगभग 2.5 अरब डॉलर का निवेश किया है| कंपनी इन संयंत्रों से उत्पादित इकोस्पोर्ट, फिगो और एस्पायर जैसे वाहनों की बिक्री बंद कर देगी|
