Tokyo Olympics 2020: India’s women’s hockey team created history by beating Australia 1-0 in the Tokyo Olympics by reaching the semi-finals for the first time. In this match, Gurjit Kaur’s goal and excellent defence performance made the Indian women’s hockey team a 1-0 win over three-time gold-winning Australia by making it to the semi-finals of the Olympics for the first time.
Gurjeet scored from a penalty corner in the 22nd minute. After this, the Indian team put its full force in saving the goal, which was also successful. Goalkeeper Savita showed a great game and the rest of the defenders got along well with her.
The Indian team finished fourth in the 1980 Moscow Olympics but only six teams participated and the matches were played on a round-robin basis. The Indian hockey team finished fourth in their pool, beating South Africa and Ireland, while Australia topped their pool. The Indian men’s team has already made it to the semi-finals.

(गुरजीत ने 22वें मिनट में पेनल्टी कार्नर पर गोल किया था| इसके बाद भारतीय टीम ने अपनी पूरी ताकत गोल बचाने में लगा दी जिसमें वह सफल भी रही| गोलकीपर सविता ने बेहतरीन खेल दिखाया और बाकी रक्षकों ने उनका अच्छा साथ मिला|)
