The decision to reopen schools is a part of the next phase of the COVID-19 unlock. It has been said in the instructions that it will be mandatory for all teachers, staff and students to wear masks, use sanitisers.
In view of the decrease in coronavirus infection, some states have opened schools from Monday. Schools have been opened in Punjab for students of all classes from the primary level. Any children who come to school will have to get written approval from their parents.
Sanjay Thapar, principal of Senior Secondary Smart School PAU in Ludhiana said, “Our school will be run in two shifts.” Whereas for class 12 students, the school will start at 12 noon.
State School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla had announced on Sunday that schools in Punjab would reopen from Monday, August 2, for students of all classes from the primary level. In Punjab, the state government has already given permission to open schools for students from class 10th to class 12th from July 26.
Singla said in a statement, ‘In view of the prevailing situation of Kovid-19, following the approval of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, the Education Department is ready to reopen the schools for all classes from August 2′. Giving further relaxation in related restrictions, it has been announced to open schools for students of all classes from Monday, August 2.

(लुधियाना में सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्मार्ट स्कूल पीएयू के प्रिंसिपल संजय थापर ने कहा,’ हमारा स्कूल दो शिफ्ट में चलाया जाएगा|’ उन्होंने आगे बताया कि पहली से 10 वीं कक्षा तक के 40 फीसदी छात्र स्कूल आ चुके हैं| जबकि कक्षा 12 के छात्रों के लिए 12 बजे दोपहर से स्कूल शुरू होगा|)
(राज्य के स्कूली शिक्षा मंत्री विजय इंदर सिंगला ने रविवार घोषणा की थी कि पंजाब में प्राथमिक स्तर से लेकर सभी कक्षाओं के विद्यार्थियों के लिए सोमवार दो अगस्त से स्कूल दोबारा खुलेंगे| पंजाब में राज्य सरकार 26 जुलाई से 10वीं से लेकर 12वीं कक्षा तक के विद्यार्थियों के लिए स्कूल खोले जाने की अनुमति पहले ही दे चुकी है|)
