India’s medal in badminton has been confirmed after Indian star shuttler PV Sindhu defeated Akane Yamaguchi of Japan 21-13, 22-20 to seal her place in the semi-finals.
Tokyo Olympics: PV Sindhu defeated Akane Yamaguchi of Japan to reach the semi-finals of Badminton women’s singles quarterfinals. The seventh day in the Tokyo Olympics has been great for India. If Mary Kom’s match is left out, then all the other Indian athletes showed excellent performance.

PV Sindhu was given a tough fight by Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the first game. PV Sindhu won the first game 21-13. In the second game, there was a fierce fight between Sindhu and Yamaguchi. First Yamaguchi is ahead of 20-18. After that, the score again levelled at 20-20. Immediately after this Sindhu made a spectacular comeback to take the lead over Yamaguji.

(पीवी सिंधु को पहले गेम में जापान की अकाने यामागुची ने जोरदार टक्कर दी| पहला गेम पीवी सिंधु ने 21-13 से जीता। दूसरे गेम में सिंधु और यामागुजी में जोरदार टक्कर चली। पहले यामागुची 20-18 से आगे हो गई हैं। इसके बाद फिर स्कोर 20-20 से बराबर हो गया| इसके ठीक बाद सिंधु ने शानदार वापसी करते हुए यामागुजी पर बढ़त बनाई|)
