Recently, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has announced the launch of his government’s new Dalit empowerment scheme, Dalit Bandhu, on a pilot basis from his assembly constituency Huzurabad.
This scheme was to be called Dalit Empowerment Scheme, which has now been renamed as Dalit Bandhu Scheme. Under the scheme, 10 lakh rupees in cash will be given to eligible Dalit families directly in their accounts.
There are five medals in the Huzurabad constituency and the total number of Dalit families in this constituency is 20,929. After checking all these families before the final beneficiary list is prepared, all those found eligible will be given the benefit of the scheme.
There is a total of around 2 lakh voters in the Huzurabad constituency. If this scheme is implemented, about 21,000 families will benefit from the scheme of CM KCR, which includes about 60,000 to 80,000 people.

(हुज़ुराबाद निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में पांच मंडल हैं और इस निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में दलित परिवारों की कुल संख्या 20,929 है| अंतिम लाभार्थी सूची बनने से पहले इन सभी परिवारों की जांच कर पात्र पाए जाने वाले सभी लोगों को योजना का लाभ दिया जाएगा|)
