Despite the century of Sanju Samson (119) in the first match of IPL 2021, Rajasthan Royals suffered defeat against Punjab Kings. Chasing 221 runs, Rajasthan’s team could score 217 runs for seven wickets and lost by four runs.

In the last over, RR needed 13 runs to win but Arshdeep Singh gave only eight runs and almost lost the match to Punjab. For Punjab, Arshdeep Singh took the most wickets with three wickets for 35 runs.

Punjab Kings scored 91 runs with the help of five sixes and seven fours in 50 balls by Captain Rahul and Deepak Hooda scored 64 runs in 28 balls. Who, along with Rahul, scored 221 runs for six wickets, thanks to a fiery partnership of 105 runs for the third wicket.
