Sasikala was born in Solapur, Maharashtra in 1932 and her entire Sasikala was Jawalkar. She was ‘Sujatha’, ‘Aarti’, ‘Anupama’, ‘Pathar Aur Phool’, ‘I Milan ki Bella’, ‘Gumrah’, ‘Waqt’, Had worked in hundreds of films like ‘Beautiful’, ‘Chhote Sarkar’.
Recently, Bollywood actress Sasikala died on April 04, 2021, at the age of 88. After his death, there is a wave of mourning in the Hindi film industry. Bollywood celebs, politicians and fans are paying tribute to him on social media.
Sasikala played both the heroine and the villain in Bollywood in the 70s. She was ill for a long time and due to which she had stopped working in films and TV series for the last few years.
Sasikala has worked in more than 100 films, she was nominated for the Filmfare Award eight times for her performance. She won the Best Supporting Actress Award twice in 1962 for the film Aarti and in 1963 for the film Misguided.
