In Jharkhand, a 1000-day campaign will run through the summer project as part of the counter-insurgency initiative on malnutrition. According to the latest National Nutrition Survey, 42.9 percent of Jharkhand are malnourished children. It will have a digital survey.
Recently, the Government of Jharkhand has launched “SAAMAR Abhiyan” to combat malnutrition in the state. SAAMAR’s Full From: “Strategic Action for Alleviation of Malnutrition and Anaemia Reduction”.
This campaign has been launched with a target of 1000 days, where there will be an annual survey to monitor the progress of the campaign. Under this campaign, in states where malnutrition has become a major problem, anemic women and malnourished children will be identified by bringing different departments together to effectively deal with the problem.
The Economic Survey 2021 states that a comprehensive National Nutrition Survey was conducted in Jharkhand for the period March 2017 to July 2017. According to this survey, 45% of children are underweight.
The team formed for this campaign will go door-to-door in their area to get information related to malnutrition among children under five years of age. Health information will be obtained of adolescent girls, women, and lactating mothers in the age group of 15 to 35 years suffering from anemia.
In case of symptoms of anemia and malnutrition in anyone, they will be closely examined at the nearest Anganwadi center for examination. Severely malnourished children will be sent to the nearest health center for necessary treatment.

(आर्थिक सर्वेक्षण 2021 में कहा गया है कि, झारखण्ड में मार्च 2017 से जुलाई 2017 की अवधि के लिए एक व्यापक राष्ट्रीय पोषण सर्वेक्षण किया गया था| इस सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार, 45% बच्चे कम वजन वाले हैं|)
(इस अभियान के लिए बनाई गई टीम अपने क्षेत्र में घर-घर जाकर पांच वर्ष से कम उम्र के बच्चों में कुपोषण से संबंधित जानकारी लेगी। एनीमिया से पीडि़त 15 से 35 वर्ष आयु वर्ग की किशोरियों, महिलाओं और स्तनपान कराने वाली माताओं की स्वास्थ्य की जानकारी ली जाएगी|)
(किसी में भी एनीमिया और कुपोषण के लक्षण दिखने पर जांच के लिए निकटतम आंगनबाड़ी केंद्र में उनकी सघन जांच होगी| गंभीर रूप से कुपोषित बच्चों को आवश्यक उपचार के लिए निकटतम स्वास्थ्य केंद्र भेजा जायेगा|)
