Prime Minister Modi invited Sweden to further mutual cooperation in the fields of technology, innovation, start-ups, investment and research.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Virtual India-Sweden Summit 2021 with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven.
This virtual summit was organized to exchange views on regional and global issues and to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries. This is the fifth conversation between the two leaders since 2015.
Modi and Stephen Lofven underlined that long-standing close relations between India and Sweden were based on shared values of democracy, rule of law, pluralism, equality, freedom of expression and respect for human rights.
- Prime Minister Modi welcomed the decision to join Sweden in the International Solar Alliance.
- The two leaders also discussed the Covid-19 status, including vaccination campaigns, and stressed the need for vaccine equity by providing immediate and affordable access to vaccines in all countries.

- दोनों नेताओं ने टीकाकरण अभियान सहित कोविड -19 स्थिति पर भी चर्चा की और सभी देशों में टीकों को तत्काल और सस्ती पहुंच प्रदान करके वैक्सीन इक्विटी की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया |
