The Gehlot cabinet has approved the formation of 17 municipalities in 12 districts Dausa, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Sirohi, Jodhpur, Kota, Sriganganagar, Sawai Madhopur, Baran, Karauli and Dhaulpur.
Recently, in a meeting of the State Cabinet and State Council of Ministers held at the Chief Minister’s residence under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the Cabinet approved the proposal for notification for the formation of 17 new municipalities in 12 districts of Rajasthan.
With this, the cabinet has decided that the state government will submit this aspect in the Supreme Court that in the Indira Sawhney case of 1992, the decision regarding the 50 per cent limit fixed for reservation needs to be reconsidered.
The cabinet has approved the formation of 17 municipalities in 12 districts Dausa, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Sirohi, Jodhpur, Kota, Sriganganagar, Sawai Madhopur, Baran, Karauli and Dhaulpur. These municipalities include Mandavari, Bassi, Ramgarh, Bansuri, Jawal, Bhopalgarh, Lalgarh-Jatan, Uchhain, Sikri, Saramathura, Baseri, Atru, Pavta-Pragpura, Sultanpur, Sapotra, Laxmangarh and Barnabas.
After the face of the formation of the municipalities, elections will be held for the remaining members of the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti in the remaining rural areas from the newly formed municipal areas in these districts.
(हाल ही मे, मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत की अध्यक्षता में मुख्यमंत्री निवास पर हुई राज्य कैबिनेट एवं राज्य मंत्रिपरिषद की बैठक में मंत्रिमंडल ने राजस्थान के 12 जिलों में 17 नई नगरपालिकाओं के गठन के लिए अधिसूचना के प्रस्ताव को स्वीकृति दे दी |)
(इसके साथ ही मंत्रिमंडल ने निर्णय लिया है कि राज्य सरकार सुप्रीम कोर्ट में यह पक्ष प्रस्तुत करेगी कि साल 1992 के इंदिरा साहनी प्रकरण में आरक्षण के लिए तय 50 प्रतिशत की सीमा सम्बन्धी निर्णय पर पुनर्विचार करने की आवश्यकता है |)
(मंत्रिमंडल ने 12 जिलों दौसा, जयपुर, अलवर, भरतपुर, सिरोही, जोधपुर, कोटा, श्रीगंगानगर, सवाई माधोपुर, बारां, करौली तथा धौलपुर में 17 नगरपालिकाओं के गठन को मंजूरी दी है | इन नगरपालिकाओं में मंडावरी, बस्सी, रामगढ़, बानसूर, जावाल, भोपालगढ़, लालगढ-जाटान, उच्चैन, सीकरी, सरमथुरा, बसेड़ी, अटरू, पावटा-प्रागपुरा, सुल्तानपुर, सपोटरा, लक्ष्मणगढ़ एवं बामनवास शामिल हैं |)
(नगरपालिकाओं के गठन के फेसले के बाद अब इन जिलों में नवगठित नगर पालिका क्षेत्रों से शेष रहे ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में जिला परिषद और पंचायत समिति सदस्यों के चुनाव संपन्न कराए जायेंगे |)
