Will Congress be able to set Foot in UP in the name of Kisan Movement
For the last 2 months, the farmers’ movement has been going on on the borders of Delhi, by taking advantage of which the Congress is trying to gain a foothold in UP. The Congress is going to hold Kisan Mahapanchayat in 27 districts of West Uttar Pradesh from Wednesday with the slogan of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan.
The Congress wants to make inroads among the farmers by holding a mahapanchayat so that it can bring back the sporadic votes in the Assembly elections to be held in 2022 next year.
- The mahapanchayat of the Congress will start from Saharanpur in UP. In which Priyanka Gandhi, the general secretary in charge of the state, will be present.
- The responsibility of making the Mahapanchayat a success has been given to Deepak Singh and Aradhana Mishra along with Pradesh Congress President Ajay Kumar Lallu. All have been given charge of nine districts.
- Both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka are expected to be present at the Mahapanchayat of Meerut on 13 February.
- Apart from this, Pradeep Jain Aditya, Sachin Pilot, PL Punia, Pramod Tiwari, Raj Babbar, Hardik Patel, RPN Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu will also join these panchayats.

- कांग्रेस की यूपी मे महापंचायत की शुरुआत सहारनपुर से होगी। जिसमे राज्य की प्रभारी महासचिव प्रियंका गांधी मौजूद होंगी।
- महापंचायत को सफल बनाने का जिम्मा प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष अजय कुमार लल्लू के साथ दीपक सिंह और अराधना मिश्रा को दिया गया है। सभी को नौ-नौ जिलों का प्रभार दिया गया है।
- 13 फरवरी को मेरठ की महापंचायत में राहुल गांधी और प्रियंका दोनों के मौजूद रहने की संभावना है।
- इसके अलावा प्रदीप जैन आदित्य, सचिन पायलट, पीएल पुनिया, प्रमोद तिवारी, राज बब्बर, हार्दिक पटेल, आरपीएन सिंह और नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू भी इन पंचायतों में शामिल होंगे।
