The Neyveli plant will also benefit Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry, in which Tamil Nadu will have a 65 per cent share in electricity.
A statement issued from the Prime Minister’s Office said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on 25 February 2021 where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of several development projects including important power projects.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the new thermal power project in Tamil Nadu to the nation. In which two units of the plant will produce 1,000 MW of power. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry will also benefit from this plant and Tamil Nadu will have a 65 per cent share in electricity.
- In Puducherry, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Satanathapuram-Nagapattinam road.
- PM will also inaugurate a new campus of Medical College in the Karaikal district.
- Along with this, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of a grid-connected five MW solar power plant at Prime Minister VO Chidambaranar Port during his visit to Tamil Nadu.

- पुडुचेरी में प्रधानमंत्री मोदी सतनाथपुरम-नागापट्टिनम मार्ग का शिलान्यास करेंगे |
- पीएम कराईकल जिले में मेडिकल कॉलेज के नए परिसर का भी उद्घाटन करेंगे |
- इसके साथ ही पीएम मोदी तमिलनाडु के दौरे के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री वी ओ चिदंबरनार बंदरगाह पर ग्रिड से जुड़े पांच मेगावाट के सौर ऊर्जा संयंत्र का भी शिलान्यास करेंगे |
