A Coup in Myanmar, Aung San Suu Kyi in Custody
Recently, there has been news of a coup from Myanmar, the Myanmar army has taken into custody the real leader Aung San Suu Kyi and President Vin Myint and declared Emergency for a year. With this coup, the commander-in-chief of the army, Min Aung Hling, has come to power.
Myanmar’s army has carried out a coup action alleging rigging in the elections, as well as Aung San Suu Kyi, has been under house arrest. With this coup, army troops have been deployed in different parts of the country so that no one can resist the coup.

Keep in mind that there has been a rule of the army in Myanmar for a long time, from 1962 to 2011, there has been a dictatorship of the ‘military people’ in the country. In 2010, the first general elections were held in Myanmar and in 2011 a ‘democratic government’ was formed in Myanmar.
Suu Kyi’s party won 396 of the 476 seats in the combined lower and upper houses of parliament in the November 2020 elections, but the military has 25% of the total seats under the 2008 military-draft constitution and many The posts of Chief Minister are also reserved for the Army.
Myanmar MPs were to gather in the capital Nayapita on Monday for the first session of Parliament since last year’s election, but the Myanmar army mounted a coup, accusing them of rigging the election.
American expressed concern over the coup, White House spokeswoman Jane Saki said: “Burmese forces have taken steps to ease the country’s democratic transition, including the arrest of State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi and other city officials.”
Expressing concern over the coup, Australian Foreign Minister Marijne Payne demanded the release of Suu Kyi, stating that we strongly support the peaceful reorganization of the National Assembly in line with the results of the November 2020 general election.
