Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari Launches National Road Safety Campaign
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari launched the National Road Safety Campaign on 18 January 2021 which will run from 18 January to 17 February. National Road Safety Month has been launched with the aim of creating awareness about road safety in India and reducing road accidents.
The program was launched at Vigyan Bhavan by Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways General VK Singh and Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant were also present on the occasion.
The theme of this time of the road safety month, to be celebrated from 18 January 2021 to 17 February 2021, will be ‘Road Safety – Survival’.
Under this campaign, a special vehicle test drive will be organized on NH-SH road and every week a test drive will be conducted on different themes. During this time action will be taken against those who violate the road safety rules.
In the inaugural program, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that 415 people are being killed every day in a road accident in India if we keep looking at the road till 2030, then 6-7 lakh people will die in it. He said that our wish will be to open driving schools in backward areas, this will provide employment to 22 lakh people.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in the inauguration program of National Road Safety Month that all the road accidents happening in our country cause a loss of 3 per cent of GDP in the country’s economy.
(केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने 18 जनवरी 2021 को राष्ट्रीय सड़क सुरक्षा अभियान की शुरुआत की जो 18 जनवरी से 17 फरवरी तक चलेगा | भारत में सड़क सुरक्षा के बारे में जागरूकता पैदा करने और सड़क दुर्घटनाओं को कम करने के उद्देश्य से राष्ट्रीय सड़क सुरक्षा माह का आगाज किया गया है |)
(इस कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ विज्ञान भवन में केंद्रीय रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह और सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने किया | इस अवसर पर सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग राज्य मंत्री जनरल वीके सिंह और नीति आयोग के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी अमिताभ कांत भी मौजूद रहे |)
(18 जनवरी 2021 से 17 फरवरी 2021 तक मनाए जाने वाले सड़क सुरक्षा माह की इस बार की थीम ‘सड़क सुरक्षा-जीवन रक्षा’ होगी |)
(इस अभियान के तहत एनएच-एसएच सड़क पर विशेष वाहन जांच अभियान का आयोजन किया जाएगा ओर हर सप्ताह अलग-अलग थीम पर जांच अभियान चलाया जाएगा | इस दौरान सड़क सुरक्षा नियम के उल्लंघन करने वालों पर कार्रवाई होगी |)
(उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम में सड़क परिवहन मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने बताया कि भारत में सड़क दुर्घटना में 415 लोग रोज़ मारे जा रहे हैं, यदि हम साल 2030 तक राह देखते रहेंगे तो 6-7 लाख लोग इसमें मर जाएंगे | उन्होंने कहा कि हमारी इच्छा पिछड़े क्षेत्रों में ड्राइविंग स्कूल खोलेंगे, इससे 22 लाख लोगों को रोज़गार मिलेगा |)
(रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने राष्ट्रीय सड़क सुरक्षा माह के उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम में कहा कि हमारे देश में जितने सड़क हादसे हो रहे हैं उससे देश की अर्थव्यवस्था में जीडीपी के 3 प्रतिशत का नुकसान होता है |)
