PM Modi Virtuli to inaugurate ‘New Bhaupur – New Khurja’ section
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor-EDFC’s ‘New Bhaupur-New Khurja Sekshun’ and EDFC’s operational control center in Prayagraj on 29 December 2020 through video conferencing.
(प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी 29 दिसंबर, 2020 को वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से पूर्वी डेडीकेटेड फ्रेट कॉरिडोर (Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor-EDFC) के ‘न्यू भाऊपुर- न्यू खुर्जा सेक्शुन’ व प्रयागराज में EDFC के परिचालन नियंत्रण केन्द्र का उद्घाटन करेंगे।)
The 351 km long New Bhaupur-New Khurja section of EDFC has been built at a cost of Rs 5,750 crore in Uttar Pradesh. This section will open new opportunities for local industries.
(ईडीएफसी का 351 किलोमीटर लम्बा न्यू भाऊपुर- न्यू खुर्जा सेक्शन उत्तर प्रदेश में 5,750 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से बनाया गया है। यह सेक्शन स्थानीय उद्योगों के लिए नए अवसर खोलेगा।)
These local industries include aluminum industry (Pukhrayan area of Kanpur Dehat district), dairy sector (Auraiya district), textile production / block printing (Etawah district), glassware industry (Firozabad district), Potri (Khurja in Bulandshahr district), There are asafetida production (Hathras district) and locks and hardware (Aligarh district) etc.

The state-of-the-art Operation Control Center (OCC) established at Prayagraj will act as the command center for the entire route of EDFC. The OCC is one of the largest structures of its kind globally with modern interiors, labor efficiency design and best acoustics.
