Avik Sarkar becomes new chairman of Press Trust of India

Recently Avik Sarkar, Emeritus Editor and Vice President of Anand Bazaar Group of Publications, has been elected as the new Chairman of Press Trust of India (PTI). He will replace Vijay Kumar Chopra, chief editor of the Punjab Kesari Newspaper Group.
