China successfully launches APSTAR-6D telecommunications satellite

Recently China has successfully launched the “APSTAR-6D” telecommunications satellite via its Long March 3B carrier rocket from its Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The commercial satellite ‘APSTAR-6D’ has been developed by the China Academy of Space Technology. The APSTAR-6D is the 18th rocket launched by China in the year 2020.
(हाल ही में चीन ने  अपने Xichang सैटेलाइट लॉन्च सेंटर से लॉन्ग मार्च 3B कैरियर रॉकेट के जरिए “APSTAR-6D” दूरसंचार उपग्रह का सफलतापूर्वक प्रक्षेपण कर लिया है। कमर्शियल उपग्रह ‘APSTAR-6D’ को चाइना एकेडमी ऑफ स्पेस टेक्नोलॉजी द्वारा  विकसित किया गया है। APSTAR-6D वर्ष 2020 में चीन द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया 18 वां रॉकेट है।)


About “APSTAR-6D” telecommunications satellite:

  • The APSTAR-6D satellite was developed by the China Academy of Space Technology Corp. (CASC), a subsidiary of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. This satellite was purchased by APT Mobile SatCom Limited in 2016.
  • The satellite aims to provide high speed communication with a capacity of about 50 gigabytes / second. The APSTAR-6D is a part of China’s first global high-throughput broadband satellite communication system.
  • It is expected to remain in geostationary orbit in space for about 15 years, as well as operate in the Asia-Pacific region as part of a broadband satellite communications system.
