(1) 13 June
International Albinism Awareness Day: International Albinism (Colorless) Awareness Day is observed every year on 13 June. The day is celebrated every year to make people aware of albuminism and to spread awareness about human rights of people suffering from albinism. Every year programs are organized to educate people and people living with albinism, who have to face all kinds of human rights violations.
(2) Madhya Pradesh
The Madhya Pradesh government has announced the status of ‘corona warriors’ to Divyang Anganwadi workers. These Divyang Anganwadi workers have been given this status to play an important role during the ongoing Corona crisis in the state.
(3) Odisha
Odisha has become the first state in the country to get ISO certificate for tribal students hostels. The ST & SC Welfare Department has launched a ‘Mission Suvidha’ project to provide the same standard to the infrastructure, facilities and human resources of all tribal hostels in the state.
(4) Narendra Singh Tomar
Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has launched ‘Sahakar Mitra: Scheme on Internship Program (SIP)’, a special initiative of the National Cooperative Development Cooperation.

Renowned Urdu poet Anand Mohan Zutshi Gulzar Dehalvi passed away. He was the editor of ‘Science Ki Duniya’, the only science magazine published in Urdu by the government, which was started in the year 1975. Also, he is credited with establishing Urdu schools across India. Apart from this, he was associated with the freedom movement along with studying in school in the 30s.

India has retained its 108th position in the FIFA rankings. In this list, Belgium is first and world champion France is in second place while Brazil is in third place. In the wake of the recent coronavirus epidemic, qualifier tournaments have been postponed for the FIFA World Cup and other major sports at the international level.
(7) Hyderabad Police
Hyderabad Police in association with Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC) has launched a program called “She Triumphs through Respect, Equality, and Empowerment” (STREE) to assist and empower women victims of domestic violence and abuse.
(8) Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched the “Bal Shramik Vidya Yojana” to educate child laborers in the state. The scheme has been launched on the occasion of International Child Labor Prohibition Day.
(9) Vice Admiral Biswajit Dasgupta,
AVSM, YSM, VSM took over as Chief of Staff, Eastern Naval Command (ENC), Visakhapatnam on 12 June 2020. Vice Admiral Biswajit Dasgupta replaces Vice Admiral SN Ghoramde, the outgoing chief. The staff moved forward on transfer as the Controller Personnel Service at the Unified Headquarters, Ministry of Defense (Navy), New Delhi.

Bollywood and TV actor Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide by hanging himself in his flat on 14 June. It is being told that he was a victim of depression for the last few days.

Every year on 14 June, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). The event was organized for the first time in 2005, by a joint initiative of the World Health Organization, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products, and for their donors. The National Highway Authority of India has become the first organization in the ‘fully digital’ construction sector. NHAI has launched a unique cloud-based and artificial intelligence-driven Big Data Analytics platform – Data Lake and Project Management Software to tackle the dreaded coronavirus epidemic. Now NHAI employees are working without any physical contact and without fear of physically touching the files.
