American tennis player Jamie Hampton has announced his retirement from professional tennis. Jamie, who was included in the world’s top 25 player, played her last official match 6 years ago when she was ranked 24th in the world. The right-hander then suffered multiple injuries, due to which he did not play against Venus Williams in the semi-finals of the ASB Classic in Auckland in 2014.
In addition, Jamie Hampton was runner-up in the WTA doubles final with Anna Tatishvili. He has won five International Tennis Federation titles during his professional tennis career.
The talented player from Alabama began the 2014 season with the semi-finals of the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand but could not play against Venus Williams due to a hip injury.
