Consistently on May 4, International Firefighters’ Day is praised as International Fire Day. The day started on December 2, 1998, after the demise of five firemen during a fire in a hedge in Australia.

(2) HDFC
As the country fights the battle of Corona, HDFC Bank has released a song titled #HumHaarNahiMaanenge in a nationwide nationwide lockdown due to the Kovid-19 pandemic, to keep people hopeful in the Coronas. The lyrics are penned by Prasoon Joshi and composed by AR Rahman. Also, HDFC Bank has announced that the bank will contribute Rs 500 to the PM-Cars Fund as many times as the song is shared via social media.


(3) Snooker
World snooker champion Peter Abdon has announced his retirement from professional snooker at the age of 49. He has announced to retire due to neck and back pain. The London-born star has raised over £ 3.5 million during his career,


(4) Poet
Demise of acclaimed Kannada artist KS Nisar Ahmed. He was famously known as “Nityotsav Kavi”. He was conceived on 5 February 1936 in Devanhalli, Karnataka. He was granted the Pimpa Award (Karnataka’s most elevated scholarly honor) in 2017. Aside from this, he has likewise been granted the Rajyotsava Award in 1981 and the Padma Shri in 2008.

The National Mission for Clean Ganga operating under Ministry of Jal Shakti launched “IDEAthon” on May 2, 2020.
