(1) 31 May
World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) is seen the world over consistently on 31 May. This yearly festival illuminates the general population on the perils regarding utilizing tobacco, the strategic approaches of tobacco organizations, what the World Health Organization (WHO) is doing to battle against the utilization of tobacco, and what individuals around the globe can do to guarantee their entitlement to wellbeing and sound living and to secure people in the future.

(2) 2 Years
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has decided to extend the tenure of Sandeep Pradhan, Director General of Sports Authority of India-SAI, to COVID-19 for two years. This extended term will come into effect from 6 June 2020. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the tenure of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

(3) Marcos Trijo
Marcos Trijo has been elected as the new chairman of the New Development Bank (NDB). He has been the former Deputy Economy Minister of Brazil and will replace KV Kamath of India as the President of Multilateral Financial Institution.

(4) Russia
The meeting of the heads of tax authorities of BRICS was held on 29 May, which included the organization authorities of the countries of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The meeting was hosted by the Federal Tax Service of Russia, which currently empowers BRICS tax authorities to discuss the response to the COVID-19 epidemic and explore potential areas of cooperation in tax matters.

Rajya Sabha MP from Kerala and leader of Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD), writer and journalist, M.P. Virendra Kumar passed away. He was born on 22 July 1936 in Kalpetta in Wayanad district, Kerala.

(6) Venkataramani Sumantran has been appointed as the independent director of the airline company IndiGo. He is currently serving as Chairman and Managing Director of Chennai-based Celeris Technologies. He has been appointed as independent director of Indigo for the next five years.

(7) Rohit sharma
Rohit Sharma will be honored with the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award 2020 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Among other nominations, BCCI will receive Shikhar Dhawan, Deepti Sharma and Ishant Sharma for the Arjuna Awards.

(8) Karnataka
has prohibited the passage of individuals originating from five states-Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh to contain the spread of COVID-19 infection. The choice was taken by the state bureau on May 28, 2020. The state government said that no train or departure from any of these states will be permitted to enter or land in the state.

(9) Goa
Goa has requested that individuals entering the state through roal, rail or air must convey a COVID-19 declaration or get themselves tried after their appearance for the disease.

(10) China

(11) Kerala

(12) Protecting youth from industry manipulation and preventing them from tobacco and Nicotine use
