World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) is seen the world over consistently on 31 May. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has decided to extend the tenure of Sandeep Pradhan, Director General of Sports Authority of India-SAI, to COVID-19 for two years. This extended term will come into effect from 6 June 2020. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the tenure of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

The meeting of the heads of tax authorities of BRICS was held on 29 May, which included the organization authorities of the countries of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
